Location, Location, Location…
Situated on the central Oregon coast at the junction of Highways 126 and 101, Florence is a scenic and recreational wonderland. Its charming Old Town (which was originally a mill town, and the Port of Siuslaw), boasts a number of interesting shops, galleries, restaurants, the Siuslaw Pioneer Museum, a marina, and an RV campground, all near the waterfront. In the commercial district along Highway 101, there are many more modern stores catering to traveler and local alike. But it is the camping, fishing, bird watching, horse back, and dune buggy riding, sand-boarding, crabbing, clamming, hiking, golfing and the beauty of the ocean and nearby dunes that beckon all. There are jet boat trips available up the Siuslaw River during the summer. Or, for a more leisurely pace, an old fashioned sternwheeler, takes visitors on excursions and dinner cruises on the Siuslaw River.
All Within a Short Drive…
A short drive from the center of Florence takes you to numerous sights worth seeing. To the south, the massive Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area is a magnificent playground for the entire family. The Jessie M. Honeyman Memorial State Park (3 miles south of Florence on Highway 101) is an ideal family campground. While 11 miles north of Florence, you’ll find Sea Lion Caves – America’s largest sea cave and home to a colony of sea lions. Immediately to the north of that is the Heceta (pronounced Ha-See-Ta) Head Lighthouse, one of the most photographed sites on the Oregon coast.

Opening only 5 years ago, and sitting on a 100-acre site and nestled in rolling sand dunes on the pristine Oregon coast, Three Rivers Casino and Hotel brought over 650 slot machines, 11 gaming tables, 4 restaurants (including a buffet open 7 days a week), and 93 hotel rooms (and numerous jobs) to town.
